George and I spent the weekend in Llandridnod Wells Victorian Festival. We rendezvoused with the Crown Prince and his Ruritanian Entourage. It was also a pleasure to meet Mike, Mark, Karen and Tiffany of the 1st Bengal Cavalry (Skinner’s Horse).

Highlights of the weekend were:
The Street Organ Festival, where I had a go at playing Meet me in St Louis.
The Importance of Being Earnest – Performed by an incredibly talented and impossibly young troop.
The Buttered Muffins, a most energetic street theatre troop that appeared to be constantly performing!
The Grand Ball, in which the Crown Prince passionately lost an argument with a Royal Scots Guard over the etiquette of ask Ruritanian Royalty to remove his hat in the presence of Queen Victoria, Empress of India. He also demonstrated Traditional Ruritanian Freeform Ballroom Dancing with the outrageous Princess Hilary.
A visit to the Thomas Shop on the way home presented many irresistable photo opportunities!

George is now rather determined to get himself a Barker Suit! Huzzah!
