I have decided to switch large parts of my website over to WordPress.
WordPress offers a great deal more flexibility than iWeb. It is a little trickier to use but has loads more functionality and lots of useful plugins. I am ready for this!
Features I am rather excited about are:
- User comments
- Categories
- Tags
- Searches
- Plug ins
I am also being a lot more careful with where my media is stored after hitting my storage limit on my old website I am placing NO MEDIA on my website at all!!! So where do all the pictures and videos come from??? Good question! I am embedding them directly into the HTML code from Flickr and YouTube! YouTube is working fine. Single Flickr pictures are working too, and it’s nice because they link back to the creator.
I will probably keep my legacy website. Certainly for the short term.
