I became aware of “What We Did Next” when they did Rent at the Blackie last year. They were amazing! So myself, Robbie and James have been looking forward to this new production of Spring Awakening for a long time.
We were not disappointed. It was superb!
The story followed the sexual awakening of a group of teenagers. Largely dark, exploring the themes of sex abuse, back street abortions and teenage suicide. This is a very heavy musical, but well worth going to see!
I look forward to what “What we did next” do next.
