Under the Influence organised a truly amazing performing and fine arts festival at the CUC this weekend.
Threshold is Europes largest festival under one roof, and presents you with a truly astounding range of live music, theatre, comedy, sculpture, film, photography, puppetry, philosophy, workshops, retro gaming and dance.
Some of the things I really enjoyed were:
The Ballad of Juniper Davy and Sonny Lumiere, Rebecca Joy Sharp, Impropriety, David Hoyle, Projections, Southbound Attic Band – Wind in the Willows (My Favourite Accidental Discovery!), Sarah Deboe and Mercy Elise, Lodestar Theatre’s Kabarett Babel, Greta and Maev, The Rubbish Shakespeare Company, Richard Kelly, Francoise Shmit, Gerry Potter ,Jollyboat, Puppet Pool, The Suitcase Ensemble and The Boxcar Children.
I am a big fan of the Suitcase Ensemble, so I took lots of pictures of them!
Also the Southbound Attic Band impressed me with their WIllows Suite. I only caught the end, I wish I had seen it all the way through! Anyway I got the CD, lost it and found it again by retracing my steps. It’s already one of my favourites! George loves it too and wants to get more copies for some of his friends!
