The Second Liverpolitan Tweed Run went ahead as planned despite the monsoon rains.
Wearing summer coats and waterproof tweeds we braved the high winds and horizontal rain from the Pier Head, along the promenade, and to Sefton Park where we laid out our picnic in the Palm House.
The return journey took us to the Bridewell where ale and hot tea were thoroughly enjoyed.
Despite the terrible weather it was a marvellous day out with good company and conversation.
