There is a portrait of me hanging in the Williamson Gallery! I am rather excited and flattered!
Today I visited the Williamson Gallery to visit the exhibition by the Wirral Society of the Arts. The oil portrait of me there was painted by the talented Terry Russell. He painted it as part of my sittings with the Liver Sketch Club.
I sneakily listened to some passers by. “That’s marvellous” said the first lady. “I think it’s some kind of ape” said the second. I hope they were talking about Terry’s other painting!
The exhibition is marvellous and take up three large rooms! There’s a great variety of talents and styles!
