Our weekend at the Llandrindod Wells Victorian Festival was as much fun as we hoped.
We were remembered fondly from last year and we met a lot of new and familiar faces.
The Buttered Muffins were on usual top form and treated us to a Murder Mystery, a Ghost walk and lots of street theatre.
Brox and I practiced our dancing on the Saturday morning practicing for the evening ball. We were much improved on last year. And we even received a few compliments!
We had a ball at the Ball. The “Strict Victorian Etiquette” was relaxed sufficiently enough to allow unescorted ladies to freely move about and husband and wife were regularly seen dancing together. And quite right too, the Victorians weren’t right about everything.
Representation from Skinners Horse had grown in size with the welcome addition of Pandora and Andy in addition to last year’s crew of Tiffany, Karen, Mike and Mark. It was great to see them again!
We joined the Friends of the Festival this year. We heard that the future of the festival may be in doubt and want to support it further.
