How Why DIY at the Nerve Centre

This Sunday the Nerve centre treated us to a day of How Why DIY.

First I had my fortune told by the most estimable Laird Howard Ashley Storey and his amazing Spinning Fortunagraph. Remarkably accurate…but not entirely a cold read!

Then I went to visit the Ubuntu guys to talk about converting an old clunky PC into something useable! I also learned how to turn a O2 Joggler into a useful computer!

Then I made a drawbot. The design called for a penny, but I used a dime. The resulting robot had no artistic talent and pushed all the other robots off the paper and paraded around on it! I was immensely proud!

I then tried some retro games and making @Bubblino blow bubbles by Tweeting his name!

I had only planned to stay a couple of hours, but stayed all day!
